This project was called ‘Out of the Art Room’.

Year 10 and 12 pupils worked with Michelle to create two sculptures inspired by the nearby forest environment and the throwaway culture of the modern world.  Pupils chose to create their ideas using found and recycled materials along with forest resources.  The ‘stag’ idea originated from the school logo and the fish piece was inspired by ideas from Year 12 coursework and Oakhill Primary pupils.  The primary school pupils came along after school to help build the sculpture on a couple of evenings and also did some drawings at an earlier stage which fed into the designs.

The two sculptures were created to be sited in a new school building outside of the art department.
