TREASURE YOUR RIVER

Michelle was commissioned by Hubbub to work with five environmental organisations and communities in five UK cities to create installations for their campaign Treasure Your River.

In Carfiff Michelle worked with Keep Wales Tidy.  An installation featuring a treasure chest overflowing with water was created with a local school for an empty shop window near the harbour.  In London with Thames21 and SEAPIA in Fulham she worked with a holiday club group to create protesting geese and placards inspired by geese on the nearby foreshore.  And finally in Liverpool she worked with Mersey Rivers Trust to build a tall ship installation with the help of families in a local park.

At Bristol Aquarium Michelle worked with Sustainable Hive to make an octopus with the help of school groups, and in Edinbugh with Keep Scotland Beautiful she worked with visitors to Star Bank Park in Newhaven to creat an interpretation of the Forth Bridge and seabirds including gannets and puffins seen on nearby islands.
