Sponsored by Raleigh UK and supported by the Canal and River Trust, this heron sculpture was created in 2023 as part of the development of a canalside green space in Nottingham City Centre.  Wilford Ramp leads down from Wilford Street to the Nottingham and Beeston Canal.  The project was initiated by Green Hustle Festival and we worked with Andy Callow of Sherwood Garden Consultancy, and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to improve plantingand habitats for wildlife.  Canal and River Trust volunteers helped with gardening work and also with the sculpture install.

I sourced bike parts from the skips at Raleigh's factory in Eastwood, and also used metal objects retreived from Canal and River Trust skips, which included a lawnmower, a shopping trolley, beer barrel hoops  and a picnic bench.
